Okay, so, yes, I am an adult, and this is a toy, but I just could not resist. I showed this to some of my coworkers over video chat during one of our social times, and several of them wanted one.
Some assembly is required, specifically attaching the tail and front legs, but it is super simple. I did it without instructions as I cannot read them anyway being blind. The demonstration mode is not that impressive, but the stuff that you can do once you use the remote is cool. I love the running function.
I cannot speak to how the water squirting works as I never do anything related with toys that are not specifically bath toys.
