The Neta S is a battery electric mid-size car manufactured by the Chinese electric vehicle producer Hozon Auto, marketed under the Neta (Nezha) brand.

Concept Car

Hozon Auto unveiled the Neta S at the Shanghai Auto Show held in April. The vehicle was initially previewed by the Neta Eureka 03 Concept, which showcased some differences in its front design compared to the production model. In its conceptual phase, the Eureka 03 boasted impressive specifications, including an acceleration capability from 0 to 100 km/h (0 to 62 mph) in just four seconds, along with a remarkable range of up to 800 kilometers (500 miles) as per the NEDC standard. Moreover, the Eureka 03 was also noted for its Level 4 autonomous driving technology.

Production Model

The Neta S was officially launched on April 20 in its production format. According to Hozon Auto, the production model is equipped with advanced safety and navigation systems, featuring three lidars, five automotive millimeter-wave radars, and six cameras. The base model offers a driving range of up to 800 kilometers (500 miles), while the top-tier model reaches an impressive 1,100 kilometers (680 miles). Notably, the electronic components of the Neta S have been jointly developed with Huawei, ensuring state-of-the-art technology integration.

The Hunting Edition of the Neta S station wagon was introduced on August 8, showcasing a stylish shooting brake design. This model offers significant storage capabilities, providing boot space of 593 liters (20.9 cubic feet), expandable to 1,295 liters (45.7 cubic feet) when the rear seats are folded in a 40:20:40 configuration.

Foreign Markets

At the 39th Thailand International Motor Expo hosted in December, Neta showcased the Neta S. The company has plans to introduce the Neta S to the Thai market, expanding its reach beyond domestic sales.
