What specifications should I consider when purchasing a compressor?

As I embark on the journey of building my first DIY 90-watt laser cutter, it’s an exciting endeavor, particularly given my limited background in laser cutting. If anyone is interested, I'm more than willing to share updates and progress photos.

Currently, I'm exploring various options for air assist. While I could opt for a typical Cloudray pump, as many experienced users would agree, the performance of a true compressor generally surpasses that of a standard pump.

Unfortunately, space is at a premium for me, and since the compressor will be installed in a room that is part of my home, noise levels are also a major concern. These limitations significantly narrow down my choices.

I discovered a compact compressor, namely the Senco AC Olievrije Stille compressor. However, I am unsure whether its specifications will meet the demands of a laser cutter. My primary concern revolves around its volume capacity: 5 liters. Is this sufficient, or do I need a larger tank?

Could anyone provide guidance on the specifications I should prioritize when selecting a compressor for this application?

Alternatively, would it be a wiser decision to start with the standard Cloudray pump and consider an upgrade later on?

Selecting the appropriate air compressor dryer

For anyone looking to enhance their compressed air quality, a refrigerated non-cycling dryer stands out as a smart, cost-effective option.
